Supply Chain Analyst
Aston Carter – Holland, MI (Onsite)
The Supply Chain Analyst will manage 15-20 suppliers predominantly for the plant. If a supplier provides parts to both local and headquarters plants, the analyst will oversee inventory management for both locations. Responsibilities include managing purchase orders, conducting 5Y and Root Cause analysis for shortages, and implementing permanent corrective actions with management support.
- Manage tactical and some strategic projects; represent supply chain on cross-functional teams.
- Analyze and document processes, logistics costs, materials, and sources.
- Recommend and implement process improvements, lead integration of new changes.
- Manage large supply chain projects and communicate status to management.
- Develop business plans, define high-risk problems, collect and analyze data, implement solutions.
- Facilitate teams, manage cross-functional projects, align process goals with business objectives.
- Provide backup support for coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
- Lead tactical projects and provide indirect work direction for strategic projects.
- Experience with SAP (2-3 years post-college)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree (preferably Supply Chain)
- Experience in procurement, inventory, and vendor management
- Ability to conduct 5Y and Root Cause analysis
- Understanding of Material Master
- Automotive industry experience preferred
- Experience managing $22M inventory and 6500-7000 parts for North America plant
