Job Summary

The Operational Risk Officer II provides a broad range of operational risk analysis, reporting and/or support to business partners. Acts as a specialist/expert in providing guidance/advice on operational risk related matters within assigned area of specialization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze potential operational risks and escalate key risks to appropriate areas.
  • Support ongoing operational risk measurement activities and reporting.
  • Provide regular risk analysis on operational loss performance of the business.
  • Assist in scenario analysis, risk assessment, and escalation processes.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of existing and emerging risks.
  • Support enterprise-wide operational risk strategies and corporate requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance on risk and emerging trends.
  • Foster strong relationships with business unit management on risk issues.
  • Participate in scorecard reviews, capital allocation issues, and regulatory reviews.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • FINRA S7, 24 preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of operational risk issues.
  • Proven analytical ability, planning, and process management skills.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in investigations, audit, information security, compliance, or risk management.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships inside and outside Risk Management.
