Job Summary

TravelCenters of America (TA) is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Technician responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems, and environmental control systems. Ensure a safe environment for customers and maintain operational excellence across the location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installations, inspections, repairs, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems, and environmental control systems.
  • Conduct general repairs: painting, patching walls, roof repairs, tile and floor repairs, facility lighting, and landscaping.
  • Coordinate outside contractors to ensure quality work.
  • Maintain inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assign, inspect, and supervise porters and housekeeping staff.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED with vocational training in general maintenance and equipment repair.
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment including tow motors, basic hand tools, and other equipment.
  • HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certifications preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks involving standing, walking, bending, crouching, climbing, and repetitive leg use.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
