Job Summary

The Electronics Technician I is responsible for testing automotive components, developing component test systems, and assisting in electronic design and development activities. This position requires attention to detail, technical competence, and knowledge of automotive electronics and test procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create new electronic product designs based on customer requests or internal plans.
  • Assist with electronic part procurement, build prototypes, and test fixtures.
  • Modify circuit boards, assist in testing, and develop component test plans.
  • Design and develop test systems, perform testing according to instructions.
  • Support bench-level investigations and test final designs at different temperatures.
  • Conduct experiments and maintain accurate testing records/reports.
  • Perform other job-related support activities as required.
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year experience as Electronics Technician or Associate’s Degree (Electronics).
  • Knowledge/performance of laboratory technician skills and equipment.
  • Soldering electronic components and PCB-level repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
  • Advanced knowledge of SMT rework and repair.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with automotive electronics and specifications.
Preferred Certifications & Skills
  • IPC J-STD-001, IPC-7711, IPC-7721 certifications a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel preferred.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and efficient work ethic.
